Amarillo to Orel

In the late 1980's the Unitarian Fellowship of Amarillo Texas sponsored a project that paired Amarillo, Texas, home of the United States' only nuclear weapons assembly plant, and Orel, Russia. With a goal of fostering friendship, communication, and understanding between the citizens of two nations locked into a cold war, participants in each city collected and exchanged materials that described their home towns.

The following nine C prints were tipped into a handmade book and included in the package to Orel.
